- Get 2 or 3 references of work previously done for other people

- What percentage of the manufacturing and installation is outsourced?
- How advanced is the equipment you use, for instance does the company use a CNC machine to do drilling etc..?
- For how long has the company been in business (VAT number, CC/PTY number)
- Ask to visit the factory so you can see for yourself if the letterhead is just a smoke screen.
